Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY KLOS April 28, 1921 - May 9, 2011 After a courageous battle with cancer, Stanley passed away on May 9, 2011 with family by his side. He was predeceased by his wife Jean, daughter Audrey, son Kenny, daughter-in-law Pat, brothers Henry, Frank, Leonard, Edward and infant sister Helen. He is survived by his loving companion Verna Kapkey and her family, daughters Virginia (Robert) Lanoway, Marge (Larry) Prysizney, son Wallace Klos and son-in-law Tej Malik, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister Frances Lewis, sister-in-law Georgette Klos, brother Bernie (Peggy) Klos, and Walter (Joan) Klos, and several nieces and nephews. Stanley was the eldest child of John and Caroline Klos and was raised on a farm in Hazelglen, MB. As a young man he worked at various jobs then married Jean Ruchkall in 1943. Together they farmed south of Anola and raised their five children. Stanley and Jean enjoyed entertaining and family gatherings. After Jean's passing and retiring from the farm, he continued to enjoy cutting wood, going dancing and playing cards which he did almost to the last days of his life. He was very determined, feisty, independent and his Nissan was always packed with his treasures, ready for any occasion. Our deepest thanks to the staff of Riverview and Misericordia Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion during Dad's stay. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Albright Church, 3400 DeVries Ave., East St. Paul, with Pastor Sam Devine officiating. Interment to follow at Eastdale Cemetery.
