KATIE STASIUK Peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2011, Katie passed away, with her family by her side, at Goodwin Lodge in Teulon, MB. Katie was predeceased by her husband Peter, sister Pauline, brothers John, George, Dan and granddaughter Ronda. Katie will be lovingly remembered by her son Richard (Gail), daughters Sandra (Gordon) Zaluski, Carol (Jim) Bartman, Audrey (Joe) Zaik, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Katie was born in Fraserwood on June 9, 1921. She married Peter in 1941 and after a short term in Sudbury, ON, returned to Fraserwood to farm and raise their family. Mom loved her garden and caring for her animals on the farm, but most of all, she loved her family and was happiest when we were all around. Her heart was full of love and her kitchen always full of great food for anyone who stopped by. She will be dearly missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB with Rev. Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow in the Fraserwood Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Bartman, Jeff Stasiuk, Cory Stasiuk, Barrett Zaik, Clayton Zaik and Christopher Walashek. Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Goodwin Lodge for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katie's name to the Goodwin Lodge Courtyard Fund, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0 or a charity of your own choosing.
