SHIRLEY ANN SHEILS (nee LATKOVICH) On May 8, 2011 at Deer Lodge Centre, Shirley Sheils passed away at the age of 75 years. Shirley is survived by her nephews James, Daniel, Rod (Susan); great-nieces Jenna and Reeanne; nieces Rosalie (Don Grant), great-niece and nephew Krystle and Justin and brother Nick Latkovich. She was predeceased by her parents Anastasia and Nicholas; sister Jacqueline; brother Larry; brother-in-law Marvin. Shirley grew up in Portage la Prairie where she eventfully found a career with the Salvation Army, as she always loved to help people. She would give a stranger her last dollar as long as she could help out. She travelled across Canada with the Salvation Army just to help people. Her favourite time of year was Christmas when the whole family came together to celebrate the holidays. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and administration at Deer Lodge Centre for their care and compassion. A graveside interment will take place on Friday, May 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Hwy. 1A, Portage la Prairie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley's memory to the Children's Variety Club. 586-8044
