RUTH J. NEIDENS (nee BELL) 1915 - 2011 Peacefully in the St. Norbert Personal Care Home, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 95 years. Ruth is survived by her daughter Heather and grandchildren, Megan (Trevor) and Dana. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Allan in 2008. Born in Benson, Saskatchewan to William and Helen Bell, Ruth was raised on the family farm with her older brother and sisters - Jim, Margy, Mary Ellen and Wilma, all of whom have predeceased her. She came to Winnipeg during the Second World War and was employed by the Winnipeg Airport. She married William Neidens in 1945 and celebrated the birth of their only child Heather in 1947. Ruth became a single parent and returned to the workforce after the untimely and premature death of her husband in 1951. She spent many years at Merchants Consolidated before moving to the Employment Insurance Office. She retired in 1972 and moved to St. Norbert shortly afterwards where she resided until her death. Ruth dedicated her life to her family. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could have. There will not be a service held at this time. Ruth will be interred with her husband William, near her son-in-law Allan, privately this summer. We wish to thank the staff at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home for all that was done for Ruth and her family.
