GEORGE KOSOWAN With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of our dearly beloved husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa George Kosowan on May 12, 2011, at the age of 78 years. George was predeceased by his parents Polly and Nick. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; his two daughters Audrey (Ken), and Karen (Rick); five grandchildren Kirstin (Jason), Krystal (Owen), Amber (Kevin), Jenna (Scott), and Cole; three great-grandchildren Jasper, Kiefer and Raina who lovingly called him Grandpa George; and two sisters Rosemary and Lena and their families. George grew up in a farming community and worked very hard with his parents and siblings. George then worked for Winnipeg Hydro for 33 years until his retirement at age 57. He loved to work with his hands and built many recreation rooms and re-finished many different pieces of furniture for his family. He loved music, especially old-time fiddling and seldom missed his Saturday evening music on the Portage station. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held.
