Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEOFFREY PAUL TITUS Geoffrey Titus, age 38, of Saskatoon, SK passed away on May 9, 2011 at the Cross Cancer Clinic in Edmonton, AB after a courageous two year battle with malignant melanoma. Geoff will be lovingly remembered by his mother Joanie Ross (Doug); father Gerry Titus (Sharon Sharpe-Titus); brother Jon Titus (Allison); sister Julie Titus (daughter Ella); and grandmothers: Margaret Olson, Joanne Titus and Mary Sharpe. He will also be deeply missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Geoff was born May 4, 1973 in Winnipeg, MB. While attending schools in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Brandon, he began gathering the first of many life-long friends that naturally gravitated towards his gregarious nature. Friend's and family's kids were held in his heart and treasured as if they were his own. He was the fun-loving, happy go-lucky uncle to many of the children in his life. Geoff's strong love of and fierce loyalty to friends and family further cemented these relationships into unbreakable bonds that will be forever cherished by those fortunate to have known him. Geoff is irreplaceable; friends and family will miss him dearly. Geoff was unflagging in encouraging those he knew to improve themselves, follow their dreams and not accept failure or limitations. His love of a great conversation, huge hugs, larger-than-life smiles and laughter will not be felt again. Those that had the honour to know him will forever remember him for and be inspired by his generous heart. Filled with boundless energy, Geoff found many ways to lead a full life. He was, at various times, a swimmer, football player, skateboarder, boxer, sailor, pizza chef and weight lifter. When he found something he loved, he took it on with 100% commitment. Early in his life, Geoff discovered a love of nature, the water and fishing that was further solidified during a short stint in the Canadian Naval Reserve and during numerous trips to visit his good friend Chad in British Columbia. A life-long music lover, Geoff, in his early teens, could be heard unendingly swearing to his friends that rap music and its new, unknown acts such as Public Enemy, Ice-T and NWA were the future of music. Geoff spent his career working for his father and stepmother at ESP Salon Sales in Saskatoon. He started at the bottom, working his way from warehouse staff to salesman to general sales manager. Although based in Saskatoon, Geoff worked with members of the hairdressing community throughout Western Canada. Through wisdom, friendship, leadership and mentoring, Geoff has left an indelible impression on the industry and the company he was committed to for 17 years. Geoff's family would like to thank the hardworking and dedicated staff at the Cross Cancer Clinic for their compassion and professionalism in helping to take care of our Geoff. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Knox United Church, 838 Spadina Cres. East, Saskatoon, SK with Rev. Brian Maitland officiating.
