GWENETH EILEEN GRIERSON (nee MCDONALD)Gweneth Eileen Grierson of Lac du Bonnet passed away peacefully on May 11, 2011 with her family at her side in Selkirk, MB. She was born in Crystal City, Manitoba, February 3, 1932. She married her loving husband Eric Grierson on May 6, 1950. She is preceded by her parents, Harley and Eileen McDonald; her loving husband of 43 years, Eric Grierson; as well as her granddaughter Deanna; and her special friend Harold Nedohin. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Ron (Gwen) and Ken (Sherron). She will be missed by her children, Ronald (Suzanne), Debbie (Karen) Hodgkins, Arlene (Wayne) Pommer. She is survived by her grandchildren, Theresa (Nathan) Kocis, Trevor (Andrea) Hodgkins, Colin (Tracy) Grierson, Katrina (Kelly) Verspeek, Kevin (Melissa) Pommer and Darren Pommer (Desiree Letkeman). She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren: Jaidyn, Zoey, Maya, Evan, Reid, Kai, Grayson, Sienna, Drake and Cole. Gweneth and Eric moved to Lac du Bonnet with their three children in 1962 where they spent the remainder of their lives. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to all Mom's many, many friends that helped make Lac du Bonnet home. The family would also like to send their appreciation to the nursing staff at the surgical unit at the Selkirk District General Hospital In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, 600-60 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M4T 1N5. A Memorial Service will be held at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. E., Beausejour, MB at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20 with interment to follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.
