DOBRODIYKA JEANETTE CHORNEY Dobrodiyka Jeanette Chorney (nee Zalutsky) November 13, 1929, went home to our Lord and Heavenly Father on May 13, 2011 surrounded by her family. She will be remembered by her devoted and loving family, husband of 61 years, Rev. Fr. Peter, daughters Susan (Karl) Brosch, Judi (Joel) Fournier and son-in-law Kenn Forsyth; grandchildren Cary (Crystal) and Jessica Brosch, Tracy Forsyth, Chantal and Luke Fournier and specially loved great-granddaughters Bronwyn and Kylee Brosch. She is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Vera, brother Stan, daughter Linda and grandson Kent Forsyth. We thank Nana for the love and care she provided over the years to us, especially her culinary skills and straight forward sense of humour. Mom was a private person. She enjoyed family times at the cottage, reading, visiting the Chapel and playing cards. Due to her health, unable to attend church, she would watch mass and pray the Rosary with the Sisters on EWTN everyday which gave her spiritual comfort. Special appreciation to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital who assisted in caring for Mom and also gave us, as a family, emotional support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kent Forsyth Memorial Scholarship at the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Engineering office of the Dean, E2-290 Engineering Building, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5V6. Prayers will be said Thursday, May 19, 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Friday, May 20 at 10:00 a.m., both at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, 390 Marion Street. Interment will be at the All Saints Cemetery, North Main Street. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
