DAVID DUNDAS YATES August 27, 1924 - May 3, 2011 The Yates family regrets to announce that David Yates of Victoria,BC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the age of 86 years. David grew up and was educated in Regina and Winnipeg. After a period in the army with the artillery, he worked overseas for the Canadian Maple Leaf newspaper as a photographer. Following his return home to Winnipeg he joined the Canadian Wheat Board. It was the start of a long and interesting professional career with international postings. He retired to Victoria in 1983. His retirement years were truly full of companionship and laughter with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Ruth; his sister Chris Antcliff; his children: David, Margret and Kathleen, grandchildren and a wide circle of friends from around the world.
