ANTONIETTA BERTONE (nee De Thomasis) Peacefully on Sunday, May 15, 2011, with family by her side, Antonietta passed away at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 70 years. Antonietta was predeceased by her husband Pierino Bertone and brother Roy. She leaves to mourn her memory, her children Antonio (Kim), Romeo, grandchildren Antonio TJ Bertone, Christopher, Taryn and Jessica; sister Liliana, brother Ed, mother-in-law Nella, sister-in-law Vincenza, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Antonietta was born in Italy on May 28, 1940 in St. Tommaso, Caramanico Prov. Pescara, Italy. She met her husband in 1964, married in 1965 and they settled in Winnipeg. She loved gardening, sewing and being surrounded by family and friends. She was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Family will receive condolences one hour prior to the Mass. A private family Interment will take place at a later date.
