PHILIPPE (PHIL) GOBEIL December 13, 1940 - May 13, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Phil at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, Manitoba on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the age of 70 years. Phil was born and raised in Otterburne, Manitoba. He was a dedicated farmer and also worked a number of years for Manitoba Sugar. He was an avid curler and continued to live on the farm. He was predeceased by his father Edouard, mother Emma, brother Denis and niece Lynne Gobeil-Gawron. Phil is lovingly remembered by his sisters Thérèse (Robert) and Yvonne (John), brothers Lucien (Monique) and Emile (Donna), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Duerksen and staff at the Bethesda Hospital for the excellent care given to our brother. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, at St. Viateur Parish in Otterburne, Manitoba. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to the charity of one's choice.
