ARTUR CASTANHEIRA On May 18, 2011 surrounded by his family Artur Castanheira passed away at the Maples Personal Care home at the age of 91 years. Artur was predeceased by his wife Ascencao and his son (Manuel) in 2008, sons-in-law Jose de Melo and Manuel Oliveira. He is survived by his three daughters Maria da Gloria de Melo, Maria de Fatima Oliveira and Maria Manuela (Jose Luis Pavao), one brother Antonio Castanheira, 19 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Artur loved spending time with his family, playing his guitar, doing odd jobs around the house and especially working on his car. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Rev. Monsignor Maurice Comeault presiding. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Blvd. Rev. Monsignor Maurice Comeault celebrant.
