JELKA (HELEN) BRNJAS Peacefully on May 18, 2011 Jelka passed away at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 81 years, with family by her side. Jelka is survived by sons Zeljko (Zdenka) and Joey (Charlotte) both of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Anthony, Anne-Marie, Amanda, Natalie, Jennifer and Danica. She was predeceased by her husband Slavo in 2004 and son Zlatko in 1993. Jelka was born in Pri Banjci, Croatia and came to Canada in 1963. In retirement she spent time with family and friends. Jelka enjoyed her evenings at the social club in Gable Arms. The family would like to thank Dr. Darcy Johnson for his care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m., St. Nicolas Tavelich Roman Catholic Church, 2688 Main St. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Anthony Brnjas, Igor Lulic, Goran Lulic, Max Hegel, Dragan Mijaljevic, John Marinic, Walter Kostycz and Ivica Olujic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jelka's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St. Our thoughts are with you. Your place no one can fill.
