TILLIE KEHLER It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Tillie Kehler on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Tillie was predeceased by her parents Karl and Emelia; her husband Alexander in 1992; brothers William, Art and Ed; sisters Lydia and Olga. Also predeceased by Garry Kartinen and Elsie Kehler, sisters-in-law Edna, Emilie, Hilda, Mary, Lydia and Chrissie; brothers-in-law Bill, Roy, Fred, Harry, Jacob, Willie, August, Herman. She leaves to mourn her children Freda (Stan), Albert (Linda), Ralph, Irene, Garry, Betty, Audrey, Glen (Sandy) and Judy, sister-in-law Emma, brother-in-law Art (Velma). Tillie also had grandchildren and a great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends who will miss her greatly. Tillie was born in Poland on May 12, 1920. She came to Canada as a young child with her father Karl. After her marriage to Alexander, she moved to the Oatfield district where they farmed until they retired. Tillie had a great love for the outdoors. She would spend many hours taking care of her beautiful flowers, a large garden and worked hard on the farm. In later years she enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. Graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Camper Cemetery with Rev. Mona Johnson officiating. Interment was held at Camper Cemetery. Tillie's family would like to thank the pallbearers and wish to express sincere thanks and appreciation to all the nurses, doctors and staff at the E.M. Crowe Hospital for the kind care and compassion they gave our Mom in time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Irene Sigurdson, E.M. Crowe Hospital Eriksdale, MB. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE, WE MISS YOU AND WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU YOU ARE THE GREATEST MOTHER OF ALL MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
