LYNDA GAIL MULVIHILL (nee DAHLIN) There are things that we don't want to happen but have to accept, things we don't want to know but have to learn and people we can't live without, but have to let go. Born in St. Boniface, Manitoba on November 20, 1943, Lynda passed away peacefully on May 14, 2011. During her high school years she was employed by Brodys' Pharmacy until graduating from Tec Voc. After graduation she worked as a secretary for Birt Saddlery in Winnipeg and Truckweld Equipment in BC. where she became Office Manager until the business was sold. She then owned and operated the Electric Beach Tanning Salon. Lynda was small in stature but her heart and her ability to love all was unbelievable. She touched the lives of many people. She was an extremely gentle, loving, non-judgmental accepting person. She felt the joys in your life and comforted you in your sorrows. Her arms were always loving and wide. She was artistic and creative in her love of rug hooking and floral arrangements. She was also a prolific reader. She had courage, strength and resolve which stayed with her during her two year battle with cancer. Words cannot express Lynda's love for her husband, Lorne. They were extremely close and shared an incredible bond. She loved him deeply and we witnessed that love throughout her life. Lynda was predeceased by her Dad Gunnar, Mom Ruby and brother Ron. She leaves to cherish her memory her lifelong friend and soul-mate, husband Lorne, her siblings Dennis, Judy (Ray), Rick (Laverne), Larry (Sharon), James, Colleen, Lorne, Diane (Bernie), Myrna (Doug), Brent and Brian (Sue), brother and sisters-in-law Tom, Bea, Dan, Ger (Lori) and Leslie. Lynda was also aunt to more than eighty nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and compassion shown to Lynda throughout her stay at N51, S.M.H., T9 at VGH, The Irene Thomas Hospice and family doctor, Dr. Natha, and her many close friends that supported her throughout her journey. A celebration of Lynda's life will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at 1630 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
