RONALD GEORGE PEAKE 1934 - 2011 On May 11, 2011 Ron passed peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, age 76. He was predeceased by his mother Anne, father Bill, stepfather Amede Boivin, and sister Eleanor. Ron is survived by his wife Judy, sons Bryan and Riley (Aimee), grandchildren Rosa and Lewis, sisters Rose (Harry Dykstra) and Jean Smith, and in-laws Rick and Heather Borland. Ron was born in Glenavon, Saskatchewan, and later moved to Lockport. His father died when Ron was eight. His mother remarried and Ron spent his remaining school years in Toronto. After finishing school, Ron moved to Winnipeg and worked for Rothmans, and E.B. Eddy. In 1970 Ron went into partnership in the antique business. In 1986 Ron and Judy formed Dominion Antiques and Auction Sales, which continues today. As passionate as Ron was for the antique business, his greatest passion was his family. He was very proud of his wife and sons, and their prowess on the tennis and badminton courts. Ron loved his golf, tennis, badminton, and skiing. He and Judy spent wonderful hours at the Winnipeg Canoe Club, where they met many lifelong friends. Ron will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of Ron's life will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Winter Club, 200 River Avenue. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
