CESAR SOTELO Peacefully on May 19, 2011 with his loving family by his side; it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cesar Sotelo. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Leah; daughters Liez, Michelle (Harold); son Kevin (Aimee); granddaughters Kiana and Jewel; and grandsons Kaden, Noah and LJ. He was predeceased by his parents Cristanciano and Maria Sotelo, mother and father-in-law Felix Sr. and Constancia Pineda, brothers-in-law Manny Ganaden and Teddy Ledda and sister-in-law Maria Garcia. Cesar is survived by his sisters Remy Ramos, Ligaya Ganaden, Josie (Nick) Assistio, Yoli and Thelma Sotelo and brother Mario (Rosa) Sotelo of Philippines, brothers and sisters-in-law Dong (Flor) Pineda of California, Angela (Tito) Baluyut of Philippines, Doy Garcia of Philippines, Esther (Ben) Gapuz of Guam, Modesto (Pria) Pineda, Hermino Pineda of California, Beth Ledda, Lucy (Vincent) Jimeno, Felix Jr. (Pong) Pineda of Philippines and numerous nephews, nieces and grandchildren. Cesar was a caring and loving person who always put others before himself. He was always known for his quick sense of humour and wonderfully warm heart. We have always felt his love and pride and adored him in every possible way. We would like to thank the doctors and staff at the St. Boniface Palliative for their care and compassion. The family extends warmest thanks to his liver specialist at Health Sciences Centre Dr. Minuk and Dr. Lipschit, nurse Vicky and all the nurses at the Pink Desk. Lamay will be held on Thursday, May 26 and Friday, May 27 from 6:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., Winnipeg MB.
