Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELGA HAMM It is with profound sadness that we announce her passing away at the St. Boniface Hospital on May 22, 2011 at the age of 73 years. We rejoice in the knowledge that she has gone to be with her heavenly Father. She is survived by her husband Edward; her children Beryl and Murray (Joanne), and two grandchildren Laurel and Jacqueline. Surviving her as well are three brothers, one sister, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister and three brothers-in-law. Helga was born in Winnipeg on January 21, 1938 to Jacob and Anna Pauls. After her public school education she attended Winkler Bible School where she met her future husband. They were married in 1960. She expressed her faith in Christ through baptism and then through a life of self-denial and sacrificial service to her family, the church, and the community in which she lived. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Doctors Lotocki, Dean and Popowich, as well as all the nurses and caregivers at St. Boniface Hospital during the six months she was there. Your loving care and constant encouragement are greatly appreciated. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at Oakbank Baptist, 26033 Springfield Road, Oakbank. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 5B2.
