LILLIAN MAY MACLEAN Peacefully, after a brief illness, Lillian passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 with her daughters by her side. She was born in Woodlands, Manitoba to parents who had immigrated from England. They farmed for a few years and eventually moved to Winnipeg where she went to school in the north end. Later as an employee at Eaton's, she met her future husband, Gerald. They raised their family in North Kildonan where Dad was a firefighter and Mom worked for CIBC. In retirement they moved to Onanole, Manitoba where Mom had her famous English garden. After a few years Mom lost Dad but continued to spend her time gardening, golfing and enjoying time with cherished friends. Lillian tirelessly donated much of her time to many charitable organizations and was always on the go. Lillian is survived by her three daughters, Terri and husband Craig, Carol and husband Les and Lori and husband Darrell. She had four beautiful grandchildren, Dean, Aylen, Caitlin and Aaron, all of whom she held close to her heart. The family is having a private reception as was Lillian's wish. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cancercare Manitoba or the Fire Fighter's Burn Fund. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com
