FERN ANNE HRADOWY - WERTH With the love of her family by her side, Fern's life journey ended at St. Boniface Hospital on May 22, 2011. Left to cherish her memory are husband Werner, son Richard (Dawn), daughter Stacey (Ron), grandchildren Alycia (Rory), Dustin, Maryna, stepgrandchildren Kane, Laurie, Geoffrey, great-granddaughter Violet, sister Gloria (Edwin) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Fern was predeceased by her first husband Walter Hradowy on September 15, 1989, parents Anne and Joe Paluk, grandparents Lena and Alex Richkun, and daughter-in-law Kimberlee Hradowy. Mom was born on September 5, 1940 in Teulon and raised near Komarno, Manitoba. After marrying Walter on September 29, 1956 they lived and raised their family near Inwood. After working at Sheer Mist Hosiery and Promo Wear in Teulon for a number of years, Mom decided to take her GED Upgrading in Gimli to pursue a career in Hairdressing. Fern worked at Gayle's Hairstyling and then later obtained her own salon on Main Street in Teulon Fern's Hair Salon for 15 years. Mom prided herself in doing her best for each individual person and enjoyed visiting with her clients. Fern married Werner Werth on October 4, 1997. They treasured each others companionship and spent many years together gardening, visiting, travelling and camping in Manitoba and Kenora with their faithful dog Comet. Mom joined the Quarry Choristers and enjoyed their camaraderie and participation in the Dinner Theatres. Mom so loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, and she will be truly missed by her family and all the people with whom she came in contact with. Prayer service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Komarno. Interment to follow at Polson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a contribution in memory of Fern to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Komarno. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
