FRIEDLINDE (LINDA) DURHACK It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Friedlinde (Linda) Durhack. Linda passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the Health Sciences Centre after a prolonged illness. She is survived by her three children, Emmy (George) Pernsteiner, Alfred (Sonya) Durhack, and Horst (Debbie) Durhack Jr., her grandchildren Sandra, Christa, Monique, Jamie, Kylee, Nico, Katharina, Jeselyne, Travis and Mickey, and her great-granddaughter Madelyne. Linda was predeceased by her daughter Trutchine, her brother Karlheinz, and her beloved husband Horst. Born in Tinningstedt, Germany in 1927, Linda immigrated to Canada in 1958 with her three children to join her husband and his brother Klaus Durhack. Linda was a devoted wife and mother who made many friends both at work and in the community. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She also had a great love for flowers and music. A former violin player she had a preference for classical music, especially Andre Rieu and spent many pleasant hours listening to his CDs and tending her garden and flowers. May you rest in peace Mom. We thank the staff of the 6th Floor Interim Care Unit of the Misericordia Hospital for the care and friendship they showed our Mother. A farewell service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., at Klassen's Funeral Home, 1897 Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society of Manitoba.
