Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MARIE GRUSZECKI (nee KYRYLIUK) November 12, 1918 - May 24, 2011 With family by her side, Lillian passed away peacefully on May 24, 2011 at the age of 92. Lillian is survived by her children: son John (Bridget) and family; daughter Helen Bourgonje and family, and daughter Judy (Bob) Friesen and family, and her brother Michael. She also leaves to mourn her passing many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Alfred, as well as her brothers, Steve, Bill, Matt and George. Mom/Baba was a caring and loving woman who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her sense of humour and her wonderful, warm heart. The highlight of any day for her was when the family gathered and she could be in the kitchen cooking and baking. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff on 5B at St. Boniface Hospital. Our heartfelt thanks, also, to Doctors Brunt, Adams and Shepertycky for their care and compassion. A celebration of Lillian's life will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Lillian's name to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. she was a auntie of mine. i knew her and my uncle when i was young she was a good lady, kind to me.
