ILONA BATA With great sadness we announce the passing of Ilona Bata on May 19, 2011, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at 85 years of age. Ilona leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Lajos, daughter Ilona (Joe), granddaughter Angela (Glenn), grandson Dennis (Colleen), great-grandchildren Ashlynn, Darian, Brittany and Christian, along with numerous relatives and friends. Ilona cherished her great-grandchildren and loved to teach them about Jesus. She had a strong faith and was active in her church. Ilona will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua, 250 Burrin Ave. A special thank you to the compassionate and caring staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Donations in Ilona's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
