BERTHA BARBARA ZAROWIECKI 1924 - 2011 It is with saddened hearts and sorrow, we announce the passing of Bertha, beloved wife of the late George (1997) at Seven Oaks Hospital on Wednesday morning May 25, 2011, at the age of 87. Bertha is survived by her sisters Mary Lakusiak of Winnipeg and Margaret Evely of Scarborough, ON; sister-in-law Anne Sobkowich of Long Beach, California; also by many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews and great-great- nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George; parents Samuel and Lena; sisters Anne and Nellie; brothers Joseph, John, Stanley and Henry. Bertha was a sociable and generous persona, also active and independent. She would have her nieces and nephews and their families together often, it was appreciated and we thank her for that. She also embraced her Catholic faith, being a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish. She ventured almost daily (weather permitting) to St. Mary's Cathedral to pray with her friends. Friends were important to her, she stayed in contact with school friends, and friends from St. Alphonsus, St. Mary's and St. Anthony Churches. Rosary will be said on Monday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Avenue with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Henry Laciak as Celebrant. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
