OLIVIER (RED) MARION October 3, 1941 - May 24, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of our dad, grandfather, brother and friend Olivier Red Marion at the age of 69 after a courageous, short battle with cancer. Dad passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side at the Central Okanagan Hospice in Kelowna, BC. He is survived by his three children, Gilbert Marion (Wendy), Lise Jestadt (Derrick) and Rachelle Stadnick (Joel) and six grandchildren, Jamie-Lee, Mitchell, Renee, Luc, Justice and Jaxon, his mother Denise, sisters, Laurie, Doris, Gisele and brother Marcel. He was predeceased by his father, Luciene Marion. Dad was especially happy in his last months after meeting Edit. She will take care of his beloved Maggie for him. Dad took pride in his work ethic and devotion to whatever job he was doing at the time. All of his employers valued what he brought to the job. He was loved by all that knew him and his fun loving antics. Even near the end he maintained his sense of humour and kept his positive attitude. He loved life and enjoyed his retirement years in Kelowna. His grandchildren meant everything to him and were a great source of pride. All those who knew him, knew the pride and care he took in maintaining his vehicles don't slam the door! . Dad was never afraid to lend a helping hand and would give you the shirt off his back. Wherever he lived he touched people's lives and made fast friends. You could never go anywhere without dad knowing someone! Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Dad we love you and miss you! Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
