GEORGE RYAN COOKE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and husband George Ryan Cooke on May 26, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 74. He is predeceased by his parents George and Ida and leaves behind his loving wife Cynthia, their two children David and Carol, grandchildren Zachary, Chelsea, Ian and Georgia, beloved sister Trudy and a host of nieces and nephews. His love of the outdoors was only eclipsed by his love and devotion to his family. He remained an active geologist, member of the Cairn Terrier Club of Canada and volunteer with the Manitoba Wildlife Rehabilitation Organization. His sense of humour was legendary and his children fondly remember being treated to edible rocks on one hike. You'll be in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach with ash interment at a later date.
