Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) CARLTON HILL September 14, 1921 May 25, 2011 Passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital on May 25, 2011 with his family by his side. He will be sadly missed by Gladys, his wife of 63 years, daughters Patsy (Bob), Brenda (Bruce), Laurie (Lucien) and sons John (Diane) and Jamie (Birgitte), grandchildren Arla, Misty, Jay, Justin, Travis, Brittany, Johnathan, Cailey, Camilla, Linnea, Nikolina, John Erik, Joshua, great-grandchildren Blais, Bella, Liam, Olivia, Parker, Hayden and Keahan, sisters Marguerite, Helen, Joyce, many nieces and nephews and the Wallasey Street crazies. Jack was predeceased by infant son Earl Morton, parents Robert and Laura, four brothers and three sisters. Jack was born September 14, 1921 in Davidson, SK. He served with the RCAF during the Second World War retiring as a Flight Lieutenant in 1964. His flying career resumed with the Winnipeg Flying Club and later Transport Canada from which he retired in 1986. Jack was an active member of the Wartime Pilots and Observers Association and a long standing member of Sturgeon Creek United Church. The family would like to thank the Grace Hospital 4N staff for their kindness. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Jack's life at Sturgeon Creek United Church, 207 Thompson Drive, on May 31 2011 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate any donations made to Sturgeon Creek United Church, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 3E2 or the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum Inc., Box 3, Group 520, RR#5, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5Y5.
