Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKISHINO (KAY) SAKIYAMA (nee SASAKI) 1921 - 2011 Peacefully at home surrounded by family, Kay Sakiyama passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011. Kay was predeceased by her husband Shigeo in 1992, and by four sisters and one brother. She is survived by sons Rodney (Heather) and Grant (Janice); grandchildren Andrea (Sean), Amy (Braden), Michael (Rebecca), Marli (Kirk), and Kevin; cherished great-grands Hana, Will, Jake, Callie, Lily and Autumn; sister Mitzi, brothers-in-law Dave and Aye, sister-in-law Miyo; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Kay touched everyone who knew her. She was a selfless, gracious woman, a patient listener who always made time for others. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms, preparing delicious exquisitely presented meals. She was a devoted mother, wonderful grandmother, and beautiful friend to all. Much loved, Kay will be deeply missed and remembered always. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 in the Manitoba Buddhist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay's memory may be made to the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Ave., R3E 0J8.
