MICHAEL JAMES ROGAN Dad, it's been a decade since we had to say goodbye. Ten years since we last hugged you, last spoke to you, last saw you. We have changed so much and yet the memories we have of you will always be the same. The pain of your absence is still all too real, but we know, somehow, that you have been with us every step of the way, through good and bad. Your short time here made a permanent imprint on our minds and hearts, and that's something even the finality of death can't take away. Know that you are loved and missed every day that passes. Dear Michael...we spent a lot of time on the web before you left...and on the telephone...you told me how dear your girls were; how proud you felt about them and worried over them; never wanting anyone to hurt them in any way...you were a caring father and friend to many...always lending a hand, trying to help others with their issues, making them laugh, imitating our Father's funny comments and facial expressions...you were a beautiful, open and honest human being, never pretending that you did not have flaws like all of us...I miss your laughing eyes and smiling face, and the jaunty way you strode in and out of our lives...my baby brother...this world is so much emptier without you in it...One day, when God calls me home, I want to enter Heaven's gates and throw my arms around you, Mom, David, Dad and Nonnie...
