DEREK ROWE Derek, husband of Florence, passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on May 26, 2011 at the age of 73 years. Derek was born at Newcastle on Tyne, England on May 3, 1938. Derek and his family immigrated to Canada in 1952. Derek married Florence in Winnipeg, August 3, 1963. Derek was a chef at Chateau Lake Louise for a short time. Derek then worked at Bristol Aerospace for 37 years as a welder. Derek retired in 2002. Derek leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Florence; a son Nelson; a daughter Jacqueline and son-in-law John. Grandchildren Ryan, Jennifer and Ken. Cousin Irene. All reside in Winnipeg. Relatives in England as well as numerous friends. Derek was predeceased by his brother Richard in 1974, as well as both his parents. Funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.; with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow and interment will be at a later date at the Chapel Lawn. We would like to thank the wonderful devoted staff for his comfort care at Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital.
