GODFREY BUXTON BLAKEMAN Peacefully on May 27, 2011, Godfrey was called home to meet his Maker. Godfrey was born in Askam-in-Furness, Cumbria, England, an only child to Sarah and Charles Blakeman. Predeceased by his father, mother, aunt Violet and in-laws, Charlie (Dot), Gordon (Doris) and Ralph, he leave to mourn his loving wife Bernice; in-laws, Raymond (Joyce), John (Mae), Grace, Bruce (Norma), Robert (Pat), as well as nieces and nephews. Godfrey was a proud member of the Khartum Shrine Vintage Car Unit, St. John's Masonic Lodge #4 and a Past Patron of Jephthah Chapter #22, Order of the Eastern Star. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Masonic Memorial Centre (Osborne and Corydon) with Bob Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shrine Transportation Fund, 1155 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, R3P 1B9. Special thanks to Wendy and Pam for being there when they were very much needed.
