Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL JODY GEORGE PALMER MOON It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of Daniel Jody Moon who died peacefully on May 27, 2011 at the age of 46 years. Left to cherish Daniel Jody's memory are his mother Elsie; sister Pamela; brother-in-law Kevin Kerwin; partner Sabrina and her children, Derek and Adrian; as well as friends, Roxanne and Evelyn. Daniel was predeceased by his father Danny in 2003. Daniel Jody's family would like to acknowledge the special friends who were family to him, whom he was supported by and gave his support to, you lifted his spirits and your role in his life was profound. In Daniel Jody's words, You know who you are . Daniel was known as Dan to some, Jody to others, but we all knew the man as loyal and selfless, a person who took great pleasure in other's successes. He had incredible wit and intelligence; he was generous and sentimental. He was a wonderful human being. Winnipeg had been Daniel's home since he was seven and he had a deep civic pride. He was especially proud of the rich cultural community that influenced him, and inspired him to create some beautiful poetry. Lake of the Woods and Muskey fishing were fiery passions he shared with his father. In some circles he was known as Musky Moon . This was a magical place for him and there he was truly in his element. Derek and Adrian held a special place in his heart, he loved to share his child like awe of nature and the world with them. It was in them that he was best able to express his many values, the importance of love in both word and action; and he delighted in sharing his knowledge with them. The family would like to thank Dr. Tomchuk for the many years he helped Daniel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daniel's memory to the Salvation Army. A memorial reception will be held 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Dan or Jody always put others in front of himself, someone who forever acted with kindness or with plenty of thought before acting.. all meanwhile with a hearty laugh deep enough to pass through multiple walls of those who could hear him.. That laughter that was so genuinely formed could calm and make an entire room smile and feel joy. He always spent his time well kept with good souls and people he trusted and thought genuinely were kind and worth the moments spent together over all the riches in the world. He was goofy, calculatingly precise and concise, he looked and acted free. I again say, I miss you SHADYZ. Dan was a wonderful friend and a tremendous father figure throughout my childhood, teen and early adult years. The countless hours of playing basketball and listening to the Beatles, from going to road trips to Pinawa and Lockport during the summer, to simply walking the grounds of The Forks, he always brought an aura of fantastic goofiness and such intelligent humour that always made me smile. I loved him very much and my soul is shattered that such a wonderful person left us entirely too soon.. Jody Moon and I were at Argyle High School together 30 years ago. I would go so far as to say he was the 'face' of the school during the time I was there. He was a unique, upbeat person, even with a weight on his shoulders many others his age wouldn't have been able to bear. It is terribly sad that he left us at a relatively young age. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Jody will be sorely missed. - Posted by: Sam Mainster (Friend) on: Jun 06, 2011
