JOHN COTT February 25, 1948 - May 31, 2011 On Tuesday, May 31, 2011, John passed away peacefully at home, after a lengthy battle with cancer. John leaves to mourn his wife Pam; his children, Rheina (Charlie), Morgan, Leif; and grandson Eric. As well he is survived by his sisters, Maggie and Christine and their families. John was born in Stuttgart, Germany. After moving to Canada as a child, he grew up in Winnipeg and MacGregor. Upon graduation from Red River Community College, John was employed within the private industry, before commencing his 30 year career with the City of Winnipeg. In his spare time, John could be found in his garden, on a basketball court or hunting. He also loved to spend his summers at the cottage with his family. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. D. Hochman, Dr. P. Czaykowski, the nurses at CancerCare and especially his homecare nurses, Doris and Nicole. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
