Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySARAH HEINRICHS March 6, 1911 - June 2, 2011 Sarah Heinrichs of Bethania House, Winnipeg, passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord on June 2, 2011 at the age of 100 years. Sarah was born on March 6, 1911 to Peter and Sarah Heinrichs in the village of Halbstadt, Manitoba. She was the youngest of 10 children. Sarah spent her childhood years in Halbstadt, later living in Gretna and Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. Sarah leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. At the age of 18, Sarah was baptized upon confession of faith, and became a member of the Edenburg Bergthaler Church in Halbstadt, MB, later transferring her membership to the Braeside Mennonite Church in Winnipeg, where she remained a faithful member. Sarah's heart for missions was evident in her support of missions at home and abroad. We thank the staff of Bethania House together with Home Care staff, friends and relatives who lovingly cared for Sarah. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Braeside Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. A devotional and viewing will also be held at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home Chapel, 1045 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. Interment in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Union Gospel Mission, available at the service.
