JAMES DUNCAN STEWART Peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, James Duncan Stewart passed away at the age of 85 years. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Flora and Dan, his wife Molly The Duchess , sons, Jamie and Dan, brother Donald and grandson Harley. Jim and his brother Don farmed as Stewart Bros.; a grain, oil seed and sugar beet operation. In 1975 Jim and his son Dan formed and operated Fincastle Farms Ltd. Jim served on the ship Jonquiere in the Northwest Atlantic while serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was an avid sportsman who excelled at curling, golfing and baseball, except for base running. He was an ardent Jets and Blue Bomber fan. Jim was a volunteer driver for Manitoba CancerCare, never concerned about winter driving conditions. He will be remembered for his quick wit, large cigars and his compassion for shut-ins. Please consider visiting an infirm acquaintance in his memory. If friends so desire, a donation to the High Bluff Cemetery Association, c/o Carol Isabel, P.O. Box 44, High Bluff, MB R0H 0K8 would be appreciated. At his request there will be no public service. A private family interment will take place. Special thanks to his physicians, staff at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, and Hugh and Marg Owens for their support and dedication and to Craig. Thank you also to the loyal regular visitors. Arrangements entrusted to: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services (204) 856 - 3487 www.ronaldmoffitmemorialservices.com
