MARGE DOROZYNSKI (nee BAYRAK) Peacefully, on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Park Manor, Marge Dorozynski, aged 82 years of Transcona. Marge was born in Winnipeg and resided in the Springfield area until moving to Transcona with her family in 1946. She has been a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church since 1958 and an active member of its UCWLC since 1968. Marge has served as President of the UCWLC, as well as various positions within the League. From 1999 until her illness limited her, she was President of the Friendly Settlers Seniors Club. From 1987 to 1992, Marge sat on the Board of Directors of the St. Michael's Villa and served on St. Michael's Parish Council from 1983 to 1994. She received many certificates of merit and appreciation from various organizations for her volunteer work and efforts. Marge enjoyed travelling, cooking and music, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish Marge's memory are her daughter Janet and her husband Gerd Schonwalder; her son Robert; grandson Max; special nieces, Diane and Brenda; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John on May 26, 1983; her parents, Anthony and Evelyn Bayrak; sister Amy; brothers, Paul and John; and sister-in-law Nell. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 9 at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. with Fr. G. Zubacz officiating. Interment will follow in Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marge's memory may be made to St. Michael's Cultural Centre or to the Manitoba Diabetes Association. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
