JESSIE LARMON 1917 2011 Jesse was born on January 14, 1917 at the Winnipeg General Hospital. At an early age both she and her mother moved to England. Upon graduating from high school, Jessie took her nurses training and obtained her registered nurses degree. At the outbreak of the Second World War, Jessie joined the British Army and provided her nursing services in England, Europe, and Asia. After the war, Jessie returned to Winnipeg and worked as a nurse at Deer Lodge Hospital until her retirement. Jessie was a longtime member of the Nursing Sisters of Canada, Winnipeg Branch, as well as a member of the Assiniboine Golf Club: where she enjoyed golf and other social activities. In accordance with Jessie's wishes, cremation has taken place with no service to follow, she would like to be remembered by all of her friends.
