Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA LYTWYN (nee KUDEREWKO) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna Lytwyn on June 6, 2011 at the age of 90. Left to mourn her passing and cherish her life are her two children - daughter Halya (Helene) and husband Garr Kukura; son Vladimir (Walter) and wife Sandra; grandchildren - Marc (Lori) Kukura, Roman (Alanna) Kukura, Stefan and Daria Lytwyn; great-granddaughters Lealya and Ksenya Kukura. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Erna Kuderewko and her family - Lucy (Larry) Pana, Miroslav (Audrey), Andrew (Angela), Daniel (Winnie) and George (Angela); four great-nephews, three great-nieces and two great-great-nieces; her sister Iryna and her family in Ukraine as well as numerous cousins in Canada and South America. Anna was predeceased by her husband Nykola, her brother Eugene in Canada; three brothers and two sisters in Ukraine. Anna was born on December 31, 1920 in Makovisko, Yaroslaw in Western Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in August of 1948 together with her husband Nykola and daughter Halya. They lived briefly in Saskatchewan, settling in Winnipeg in 1951 where their son Walter was born. Anna was a woman of faith and upon arriving in Winnipeg in 1951 joined and attended Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral up until the day she entered the hospital. Anna was a caring and compassionate woman who especially enjoyed visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Baba's jelly bean and cookie jars were always full in anticipation of their visits. There were many special people in mom's life - especially in the last few years. Her neighbour David was a great help to mom and Vera's friendship was one that was cherished and appreciated. Anna will be remembered as a wife, mother, and grandmother who was always available to provide loving care and concern to her family. We will remember with love and gratitude everything she meant to us. In years to come family gatherings will be blessed with these memories. This is her legacy to us. It is all she would have asked. Prayers will be sung on Thursday, June 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Metropolitan Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of Sts. Vladimir and Olga, 115 McGregor Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 10 also at the Cathedral, officiated by Rt. Rev. Mitrat Michael Buyachok. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her four grandchildren - Marc, Roman, Stefan and Daria and her two eldest nephews - Miroslav and Andrew. The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care of our dear mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anna's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT
