PAUL HAGEN 1923 - 2011 On June 4 at the Grace Hospital, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully. Along with extended family and friends, Paul will be dearly missed by his devoted and caring wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Evelyn, his sons Chris (Kathy) and Mark (Penney), his grandchildren, Megan, Taylor (Kristin), Amber (Rick), Travis and Taylor, and his great-granddaughter, Olivia, whose mention of her name always brought a cheery smile to his face. Paul was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and six brothers. Paul served overseas in The Second World War returning in 1947 to find employment in civilian life. He started with an electrical and heating company, eventually getting his journeyman papers. He advanced from one company to another always gaining more expertise and knowledge until he became the Supervisor of Inspectors at the Mechanical and Engineering Department with the Department of Ladbour, where he retired in 1989. When Paul gave his heart to the Lord in 1962, Life took on a whole new meaning. He read his Bible faithfully, searching God s word, always seeking to know more about our Heavenly Father's Plan. Paul taught Sunday School, Hunter Safety at the St. James Civic Centre and was a cousellor and worker at Faith Bible Camp. He also did general repairs at Pretty Valley and Hilbre Bible Camps. The family would like to extend their appreciation to each of the Health Care Team for their care and compassion while Paul was in Palliative Care at home. A Celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue, with Laurie Barth officiating. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in Paul's memory to a charity of their choosing. Arrangements by BIRCHWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL 1-888-454-1030 or 1-204-346-1030
