MARY ELLEN RUTHERFORD (nee FERRIS) On June 6, 2011, Mary Ellen Rutherford (nee Ferris) formerly of Holland, MB died peacefully surrounded by family at Tudor House in Selkirk, MB. Born October 15, 1915 in Camille District at Holland, MB, Ellen lived in the area for 93 years until ill health made a move to Winnipeg then Selkirk necessary. Ellen leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory daughter Linda (John) Brewster, son Larry (Wendy) Rutherford, daughter Sharon Moolchan, grandchildren David (Monique) Duncan, Sean (Caroline) Brewster, Pamela (Glenn) Tweedy, Jim (Sherry) Rutherford, Robyn (Brad) Gregory, Tracy (Larry) DeGrave, Mark (Margaret) Rutherford and Kieran Moolchan, many great grandchildren, sister Elsie Murray, sister-in-law Ellen Rutherford and numerous nieces and nephews. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Robert (1996), parents Lewis and Annie (nee Jeffrey) Ferris, an infant son, family members; Allen (Myrtle) Ferris, Bill (Marie) Ferris, Tom (Mary) Ferris, Elliot Ferris, Harold Ferris, Iola (Bernard) Goekoop, Irene (Bill) Kerr, Alice (Earl Robinson, Ralph Ballantine), Beatrice (George) Down, Mae (Bill) Taylor, Dorothy (Alvin) Caslick, Sandy Murray, Edna (Art) Matthews, Thelma (Ben Marks, Gordon Wooley), Walter Doc Rutherford,Marg (Lloyd) Jeffrey and son-in law Barry Moolchan. A celebration of Ellen's life will be held at Holland United Church, Holland, MB at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, with Elizabeth Goodson officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookdale Cemetery. Lunch to follow in the Holland Friendship Centre. The family wishes to thank staff at Tiger Hills Center, Baldur Hospital, Harmony Court Winnipeg, and Tudor House Selkirk for the love and care Ellen received.
