FRANK DELL January 12, 1923 December 19, 2010 Peacefully, on December 19, 2010 at the Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, Frank passed away. He leaves to mourn his wife Florence (nee Halldorson) of 61 years, sons Lorne (Wanda), Michael and Blaine, daughters Sandra (Jack) and Susan (Richard), 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, sister Teenie Thoroski (Nick) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Mary (nee Lesiuk), brothers Peter and Joe, sister Caroline Sankew (Bill). Born and raised in St. Boniface, Frank joined the navy in 1941 serving in the DEMS in the Second World War. He went into partnership in United Welders in 1948 which he owned and operated for over 30 years. He married Florence in 1949 and raised their five children in their Elmwood home. Frank was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending weekends at their little cottage in Gimli. He loved to pick berries or scope out an old homestead hoping to find historical treasures. Frank was a member of the Winnipeg Curling Club for many years. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and support. A memorial in Frank's honour will be held in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
