BARBARA ANNE URIAS 1948 - 2011 Barb passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Concordia Hospital. Predeceased by her parents, she is survived by her husband Steve; son Stephen (Mindy); daughter Lisa (Lance); and the two jewels of her life, her grandsons, Noah and Gavin. Barb worked as a Lab Technician at Health Sciences Centre for many years, a career she loved. She was a Charter Member and Past Guardian of Bethel #9, Jobs Daughters. She enjoyed all the social functions with Acacia Lodge, a place where she made many friends. Barb loved to cook the big family dinners always sending home leftovers. Her special chocolate chip cookies and brownies were everyone's favourites and their taste will always linger. A special thank you to her almost sister Joan, whose friendship and support was always there through good times and bad. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue (across from Brookside Cemetery).
