BRYAN (BRIAN) BERNERD WIRGAU Bryan Brian Bernerd Wirgau passed away peacefully at his home in Prince George, BC April 21, 2011, at age 61. He was predeceased by his daughter Cindy, parents Carl and Levina, brothers Stephan and David in infancy, and his younger brother Frank. Bryan leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his daughter Rose (Jim), grandchildren Kyle, Dennis, Nichole, Courtney and Zane; son Rodney (Kimberly), grandchildren Tylor, Ryan, Breanna and Kristen, all of British Columbia; sisters Brenda (Gary), Sharen (James), Debbie; brothers George and Harold; aunties Dorothea, Carol, Rose, Bernice, Ann; uncles Irwin and Allen, and several nephews as well as close friends Randy Miles, and Paul and Peggy Ludwig. Bryan was born in Winnipeg, MB on July 9, 1949 and grew up on the farm in Whitemouth. He moved to British Columbia as a teenager to make a life for himself. Aunt Dorothea took him under her wing and treated him like a son and he became fast friends with her son Richard. Bryan worked at various jobs in southern British Columbia until he followed his cousin Richard to Prince George. There Bryan worked as a DJ for Party Sound for years while learning a craft as a carpenter. When his brother's estate home needed repairs he came back to Manitoba to organize, supervise and work with the family to complete the project. His expertise was quickly noticed by his family and friends as they all worked together to finish the job. He loved his kids and the grandchildren and spent as much time as he could with them. In the last few years he was able to make trips back to Manitoba for weddings and his school reunion. He also was able to make a trip to Reno, Ohio to visit his sister Sharen. He also realized a lifelong dream to take a trip with a friend to New Zealand and the Philippines which he enjoyed very much. At Bryan's request cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at the east end of Henderson Street, Whitemouth, MB, with Pastor Donna Smalley officiating. Interment of the ashes will follow immediately after the service. Pallbearer will be Bruce Staerk. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Whitemouth, MB R0E 2G0. Life's race well run, Life's work well done, Life's victory won, Now cometh rest. Edward Hazen Parker
