JOHN PAUL VANDALE January 4, 1938 - June 2, 2011 It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. John passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, with his family by his side, on June 2, 2011 at the age of 73. John will live forever in the hearts of his loving wife Claudette, of 55 years and five children: Shirley (Ray), Colette (Gary), CC, Jadyn, and son John Jr. (Sherri), 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as his brothers David and Arthur. He also leaves to mourn Marcel (Evelyn), Claude (Diane), Doreen (Teddy) and numerous other friends. He will always be remembered as a caring man who was always there to help and whose sense of humour could always make you laugh and smile. He was predeceased by his parents Rose and William Vandale; brothers Robert and Jerry; sisters: (twins) Simone and Marie Louise, Noella, Margaret, Georgette and Lucy. John was born on January 4, 1938 in St. Boniface and was raised in the community. He met and married the love of his life Claudette on January 14, 1956 and raised their family in Manitoba. He worked 29 years with the City of Winnipeg in the Works and Operations divisions where he made many friends. He was very proud of his accomplishments. Following his retirement he would spend many hours working in his yard, enjoyed social gatherings, playing cards, driving his truck, collecting antiques and listening to his favourite old time country music. To honour his wishes cremation has taken place and a small family graveside ceremony was held on June 7, 2011. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
