CAROL TUCK June 8, 1945 - June 10, 2011 After a very short illness, with dignity and peace, our mother Carol passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011. Mom grew up in St. Boniface and stuck pretty close to her roots throughout her life. Mom's first great passion was Elvis, and her second passion was being with her grandchildren. She loved family get-togethers, crossword puzzles, playing cards, and the family dogs (Donnie, Angel, Dixie, and Dingo.) Mom was a great cook, hard worker, and a great friend, as this was evident by her regulars at the Heather Curling Club. Mom is survived by her children: Janice (Mehran), Bill, Brian (Lori), Jocelyn, and Sean (Nikki), as well as her grandchildren: Shereen, Kyla, Darrell, Todd (Anita), and great-grandson Jacob. She is also survived by brothers: Robert (Jinx), Wayne (Kathy); sisters: Joan and Pat; Aunt Lorraine Murphy, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also left to mourn her passing are friends Carol Fraser, and Jeanne Turenne, who worked with mom at the Heather Curling Club for the past 20 years. Mom was predeceased by her parents Buster and Alice Tuck; sister Barb Ritchot; brothers-in-law Maurice Saltel, and Adelard Hupe. There are no words that could describe the sadness and emptiness we are feeling at this time. We love you Mom, thank you and miss you. You are forever in our hearts. May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. We would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this sad time, especially the staff at St. Boniface Hospital on 5B. Also, special thanks to the Heather Curling Club. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, in Holy Cross Church, 252 Dubuc Street. Interment to follow at Green Acres. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Carol, you will be missed. Special thanks for your years of service to the members of St. Boniface Golf Club. You were a dedicated, dependable member of the staff, who could always be counted on to do their part and more. You put a smile on the face of many early morning golfers, when you were there to feed them breakfast. You were a colleague, a friend, a shoulder to lean on, and always there to make me laugh. Thanks for your support. My thoughts and prayers are with yourfamily as they support one and other during this sad time. - Posted by: Susann Syme (Friend) on: Jun 20, 2011
