Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BRIAN) MAGNUS COX May 2, 1975 - June 12, 2011 Suddenly on June 12, 2011, Robert Brian Magnus Cox was taken from this world, leaving his family and friends behind. Brian is survived by his mother Kristine; brother Christopher; sisters Diane (Melvin) and Karen (Ron); also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his dad Keith and grandparents Magnus and Julia Magnusson and Robert and Edna Cox. Brian had lived most of his life on the family homestead on Kirkness Road and on the highway across North America until his last day. As a teenager, Brian started working at Wonder Shows for Henry and Eleanor Saluk. Brian spent quite a few years working there where he made many friends from all over. While working at Wonder Shows, he had gotten the opportunity to get his Class 1 driver's license at 19 years of age. With this license Brian was able to follow his passion of the open road as a long haul truck driver traveling across Canada and the U.S. Those who knew and loved him were fortunate to be blessed by Brian's big heart and his endless sense of humour. To Brian, family and friends meant everything. A memorial service will be held at Gilbart's Funeral Home, Selkirk, MB on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has already taken place. The family would like to thank Dr. George Balko and the A6 South staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care for Brian. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
