IRIS HODGES August 11, 1922 June 13, 2011 Iris, beloved wife of Jack Hodges, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Victoria Hospital. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Jack of 68 years, her three children; Barbara (Brian), Janet (Murray), and Kenneth (Sharon). She was a loving Grandma to Kerri (Kris), Shaun (Shaylene), Ryan (Krystal), Jolynn (Chad) and Matthew (Marcy). G.G. Ma was blessed with eight-great-grandchildren; Avery, Cailyn, Andraya, Graham, Ethan, Claire, Katelyn and Adam. Iris had a great love of nature, birds, flowers, animals and she was particularly proud of her skill at locating four leaf clovers. In the past, Mom loved to play cribbage using some of the most unique counting practices. Iris also enjoyed playing dominoes and doing her word searches. (Mom) Iris was fond of music, singing in St. Vital United Church's choir as well as playing the organ. Iris also enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all their activities, academics, music, sports and theatre. A memorial service celebrating Iris' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street, St. Vital. The family wishes to thank Dr. Munsamy, Dr. Cavers and all staff members of Ward 5 South for their care and compassion.
