PATSY DOREEN STOROZUK It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Pat Patsy Doreen Storozuk (Melcosky) on June 11, 2011 at her home in Winnipeg, MB. Pat was born on June 26, 1950 in Minnedosa, MB to Matilda and Peter Melcosky. She attended Grades 1 and 2 at Montcalm School and Grades 3 to 9 at Sandy Lake Elementary and Collegiate. In 1967, Pat moved to Minnedosa with her family and completed Grades 10 to 12 at Minnedosa Collegiate. She worked after school and weekends at the Four and Ten Restaurant as a waitress. In October of 1969, she moved to Winnipeg to seek employment. One month later, she became employed by MTS as a clerk. She worked in various positions and departments and received much advancement with the company. She was employed with MTS for 35 years. She retired on October 21, 2004. She worked at a cellular business for a brief time. She also worked at Staples until June 2010. Pat enjoyed her home in Winnipeg. It was here that Pat and her husband, Terry, spent much of their time. Pat and Terry were married on September 2, 1972. She was predeceased by the three biggest joys of her life: her poodles, Bijoux, Boots and Sandy. She also enjoyed playing Kinsmen TV Bingo with Terry every Saturday and cards with the neighbours. She enjoyed helping her special friend, Amy and Pixie with regular Saturday shopping trips. Pat had just recently added a new puppy to her family. Pat was predeceased by her father Peter in 1976 and her brother Earl in 2009. Pat is leaving to mourn her husband of 38 years, Terry Storozuk; her mother, Matilda Melcosky (Minnedosa); sisters: Shirley Selewich of Minnedosa, Elsie (Bruce) Ray of Brandon, Eleanor (Dave) Marnock of Minnedosa; brother Allan Melcosky of Minnedosa and sister-in-law Lori Melcosky of Winnipeg. Also left to mourn are: Helen and Louis Storozuk of Shoal Lake and brothers-in-law: Joe (Lynda) Storozuk of Winnipeg, Bill (Karen) Storozuk of LaRonge, SK, Rick (Bev) Storozuk of Winnipeg and sister-in-law Darlene (Lindsey) Heintz of Red Deer. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A Celebration of Pat's life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Minnedosa Funeral Chapel. An interment will be held at the Minnedosa Cemetery. Pallbearers: Bryan Selewich, Ryan Marnock, Jonathan Ray, Tyson Melcosky, Ryan Nesbitt, and Angela Wollbum.
