IDELLA JEAN HILLMAN (nee DECKER) Idella Jean Hillman (nee Decker), aged 89 years, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2011 at Vista Park Lodge in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was born in Decker, Manitoba on June 16, 1922. Dell was predeceased by her husband Malcolm (February 4, 1999) and brother Cecil. Remaining to cherish her memory are her two sons, Garth (Monica) of Austin, Texas and Ken (Bev) of Winnipeg; four grandchildren, Greg (Kristen) and Leanne in Dallas, Texas and Dayna Spiring (Charlie) and Shaun Hillman (Jen) in Winnipeg; her brother Gerald in Hamiota, Manitoba; sister-in-law Hilda Decker of Winnipeg; two great-grandchildren (Josh and Leah Hillman in Dallas) and several nieces and nephews. Dell and Mac enjoyed their winter visits to Phoenix, Arizona and Palm Springs, California but their cottage at Clear Lake was the place they most cherished. Golfing and playing Bridge were Dell's passions. At Dell's request, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service in Brandon will be conducted at a future date. The family is truly appreciative of the wonderful, compassionate care that she received while a resident at Vista Park Lodge. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation in Dell's memory to a charity of their choice.
