OLIVIA BONNIE JEAN CHIZICK April 11, 1948 - June 15, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister, aunt and great-aunt on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 63. Bonnie's generous nature, kind heart and warm smile will remain in our memories forever. Bonnie will be lovingly remembered by her sister Audrey (David); and her brother Andy (Gloria); nieces and nephews, Lisa (Rick), Jeff (Nicole), Corey (Cassie), Andrea (Eric) and Rod (Tanya); as well as her great-nephews and niece, Ethan, Noah, Ryan and Lorelei, all of whom she loved and adored. In addition, Bonnie was surrounded by many relatives and friends who loved her. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents, Henry in 1997 and Helen in 1999. Bonnie was born April 11, 1948 and grew up in St. Andrews where she lived her entire life. She was a devoted teacher and she taught Grade One at Stony Mountain School for 40 years until her retirement in 2007. In her spare time, Bonnie loved to work in her vegetable and perennial gardens. She also enjoyed spending cherished time with her family and friends and hosting special family gatherings. The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses on the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for the care given to Bonnie. Funeral Services will take place at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street on Tuesday, June 21 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Walter Klymchuk officiating. Interment and reception to follow.
